Led strategy, spec development, and cross-functional execution for Mylio's web sharing system—a user-requested feature designed to drive organic acquisition through viral album sharing and referrals.
Mylio needed a new hero feature to drive subscription growth and increase retention. Customers frequently requested the ability to share curated albums of photos and videos with family and collaborators—especially after investing significant time organizing their libraries.
Internally, priorities competed for limited engineering resources:
Marketing saw an opportunity: a lightweight web sharing feature could unlock referral traffic at minimal engineering cost if developed before the more complex account-sync features.
I initiated the project with early conversations across product and marketing, then developed a strategic outline highlighting technical tradeoffs, business impact, and referral potential.
